Monika successfully completed catering college in her teens and worked through 3 years of various low level catering duties before entering the world of aviation catering in 1971 when she joined Lloyd International Airways as a Stewardess. This was to be the birth of her expertise in addressing the needs of paying clientele.
In 1975 Monika moved on to a more specialized form of aviation catering when she joined McAlpines Aviation – a private jet operator who specialized in flights for politicians, government officials, film actors, presidents and rock stars as well as other well known personalities.
Monika then progressed from air stewardess directly into full in-flight services management on private jets. Her first post being on Sheikh Abdallah Baroom’s own jet which regularly flew himself, his family friends and members of the Saudi Royal family worldwide.
Monika’s career jumped to a even higher level in 1980 when she took the position of Flight Director for the Hawaiian based Hemmeter Investment Company’s Executive Jet. And then on to HRH Sheikh Abdullah Al Ibrahim’s private jet in Saudi Arabia.
Monika’s success in meeting the demanding and uncompromising requirements of the Saudi oil Sheikhs and privately owned jet operators were key to her success in landing the top position of Director of In-Flight Services for one of Kerry Packer’s private airliners in 1991. This was by far the most demanding role as Monika met the individual needs and aspirations of many individuals of international repute. From members of Royalty to rock and film stars, and from the wealthiest to the most infamous, Monika built her high level of catering and hospitality expertise to a such a refined degree that she was only offered the chance to leave Kerry Packer’s staff some 10 years later when the Australian tycoon sold that particular aircraft to lead a more sedentary lifestyle.
At this time Monika decided to embrace her love of Australia and become a permanent resident, but having also been a highly active person all of her life, she took the daunting jump into running her own catering and hospitality business by buying Pindari House. She toiled to reach her own uncompromising level of catering expertise and opened the doors of Pindari House Bed and Breakfast in 2002.
During Monika’s climatic career, she has not only been personally responsible for meeting the demanding needs of the world’s rich, famous, she has met each of their own idiosyncrasies with professional ease and maintained her position at the helm of such specialized catering and hospitality. It could only be fitting that her later career be concerned with the individual care of her own clients as part of her own business.
Throughout Monika’s personal life, she has kept her love of entertaining close to home as she wined, dined and catered for so many large groups of friends and their friends with many of her owned renowned dinner parties and soirees. Her reputation is unrivalled in such escapades where she continues to demonstrate her love of entertaining at Pindari House, by not only taking Bed and Breakfast guests but holding lunch and dinner parties for local personalities and other business owners.
